OPEN DAY 2025

On Saturday, October 18, 2025, we were delighted to open our doors to the public at the glassworks in Nový Bor and welcome everyone who was curious to take a look into the world of Czech glass. The open house was an opportunity to meet, slow down, and experience glassmaking up close—right where glasses are made every day and sent to homes and restaurants around the world.

Together, we shared the atmosphere of live production, the smell of hot glass, and the rhythm of manufacturing, where long-standing tradition naturally meets modern technology. It was our pleasure to open up the behind-the-scenes of our work, answer questions, and show that Czech glass is not just a product, but a story of people, craftsmanship, and place.

WHAT VISITORS EXPERIENCED

  • Self-guided tour of the production facility – each visitor can independently follow the marked route and take a look into the very heart of the glassworks.

  • Workshops and children’s workshops – try your hand at glass decorating techniques.

  • Open company store – selected products will be available at a great price right on site.

HOW IT WENT

The open house took place in a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. Visitors moved freely around the production facility, stopping at individual stations, asking questions, and watching the entire glass-making process with genuine interest. The space came alive with curiosity, conversation, and the sharing of experiences across generations.

We were delighted by the active participation of families with children, who enthusiastically took part in the workshops and took home their own small creations. The workshops naturally combined play with craftsmanship and created a space for discovery and a first encounter with the world of glass.

Celý den se nesl ve znamení otevřenosti, setkávání a chuti být spolu. Bylo cítit, že zájem o české sklo a sklářské řemeslo má stále silné místo – a právě to dalo celé události její skutečný smysl.

We would like to thank all visitors for spending the day with us and for their interest in Czech glassmaking.
